Registration

Registration will be located on the second floor in the Eagles Nest. Please attend there immediately upon arrival and at least 45 minutes before your first game. The tournament bracket and dressing room schedule will be located there.

The Official Team Roster signed by the Registrar must be provided prior to the first game if not already received by the Tournament Co-ordinator. Teams may change their roster at this time with acceptable documentation.

Game Sheets

Electronic game sheets through GameSheet Inc will be used for the tournament. Team managers are required to enter their player roster into GameSheet prior to the tournament date. Game results will immediately be posted upon the conclusion of the game and managers emailed a copy of the game sheet.

Player of the Game

At the conclusion of each game players shall line up on the blue line and coaches shall select one player of the game from their own team to receive an award. Selecting from their own team gives coaches an opportunity to recognize a player who had a great performance but might not have specifically stood out to an opponent's bench staff who do not know the players.

Dressing Rooms

Dressing rooms 1 through 5 are located off of the lower canteen. Change rooms 6 and 7 are at the opposite end of the ice surface past the seating area.

Dressing room 2 is reserved for female players at all times.

Please vacate the change rooms as soon as possible, no later than 20 minutes, as there will be another team waiting to use it. There will be a designated area for player equipment on the second level. Please do not leave any equipment in the lower lobby area.

Eagles Nest

The Eagles Nest is located on the second floor of the arena. There will be activities for the players and families, a raffle table with great prizes, 50/50 tickets, chuck a puck, the kitchen, and window seating to watch all the action on the rink below.

Noise Makers

Noise makers are prohibited from any District 5 arena. This includes horns, cow bells, whistles, etc. Use your voice to cheer on your team!

Food

The Eagles will be operating a kitchen in the Eagles Nest on the second level serving a variety of breakfast and lunch. There also is a rink canteen on the main level. The kitchen is cash only while the canteen accepts cash and debit. There is an ATM in the lobby.

Prohibited Areas

The following areas are prohibited from all spectators. Only coaches, bench staff, and tournament officials will be permitted, and signs will be posted:

  • All dressing rooms and the hallway leading to them.
  • Hallway outside of the official’s room.
  • Seating area leading to the player benches.

Spectators may view the game from within the primary arena seating area, the main lobby (windows), or from the Eagles Nest (windows).

Respectful Conduct

We expect both parents and players to always conduct themselves in a respectful manner. Foul language, abuse on officials, bullying, fighting (on or off the ice), or any other disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. For incidents that occur off the ice, the players will be identified and may be ejected from any subsequent games.

As indicated in the rules, there will be absolutely zero tolerance for any abusive or disrespectful behaviour towards on or off ice officials, especially youth officials wearing green arm bands.

The tournament convener or designate may at any time direct any bench staff or spectator to be removed from the game and arena, regardless of an on-ice official’s decision. Failure to leave when directed will follow Rule 10.8 - Refusing to Start Play.

The goal of the tournament is to have fun.
