Eganville Minor Hockey has been made aware of communication
that has been sent out by the Barry's Bay Minor Hockey executive to their
members indicating that they will be hosting their own competitive teams for
the 2026/2027 season. This would mean the abolishment of Valley Storm permanently.
EDMHA was not made aware of this information from BBAMHA either directly nor as part of the Valley Storm Committee which is very disappointing, however the messaging to their members is clear.
We wish Barry's Bay good luck with their new endeavor and thank all the Valley Storm committee members and their Executive, along with the players and parents of Valley Storm for the many great years.
EDMHA will share further information with it's members once it becomes available and it will be a topic of discussion at our AGM (date to be confirmed).
